Focusing on Edinburgh’s Tynecastle Park, the key issue is the survival of historical inner-city sports arenas and the quest to make football architecture more sustainable. The talk also highlights the importance of Archibald Leitch, the Scotsman who defined modern football architecture more than any other individual in the UK. The talk will briefly address some cultural connections between Scotland and the Norwegian south-west coast, where the guest speaker grew up.
